Do you believe it. One hundred posts! And in the same month as the one year anniversary of this blog. Crazy.
One hundred things is a pain in the ass, by the way.
Enjoy.
- I am blessed with an incredible family.
- I am a Christian.
- Some days I'm not a very good one.
- But I try every day.
- I'm 5'2
- With freckles
- I love to laugh.
- And when I do, it's a belly laugh.
- None of this girlie giggly stuff for me.
- It's taken me 20 minutes to write 10 things.
- That's pathetic.
- I hate peas.
- No exceptions
- I'll say it again.
- I hate peas.
- They are evil.
- I was a gymnast for 13 years.
- Six of those years were competition years.
- I don't miss 7:30 a.m. practices.
- I can still do a few flips.
- But I see a lot more stars, and a few birdies, when I do.
- I'm not a morning person.
- I prefer to start my days around Noon.
- I hated high school.
- I have a reoccurring dream that I'm forced to go back because they screwed up grades for my senior year and I have to do the year over again.
- I've had this dream off and on for over five years.
- It's disturbing, but it makes me laugh too.
- It that healthy?
- Probably not.
- My first love was oceanography.
- I was accepted to A&M Galveston.
- I didn't go.
- Turns out I really didn't like biology.
- I probably wouldn't have made it past the cat dissection, anyway.
- No, really.
- I chose communication and PR, instead.
- I think I made the right choice.
- I love movies.
- Sci-fi, Fantasy and Horror top the list.
- I often see horror movies by myself.
- The last horror movie that actually scared me was The Ring.
- I slept with my lights on for a week.
- My all-time favorite scary monster is the thing on the airplane wing in Twilight Zone: The Movie.
- The one with John Lithgow, not William Shatner.
- Whenever I see that part of the film, I still put my hands over my eyes.
- One of my favorite TV shows is NCIS.
- I have a crush on Mark Harmon.
- One of my pet peeves is when people chew their food loudly.
- Or lick their plates.
- Or slurp their drinks.
- I'm an not bad at bowling.
- But I suck at pool.
- Spiders freak me out.
- Although, when I was little, I used to make my Mom show me the tarantula section of the encyclopedia.
- The man I marry will be able to cook, or be willing to learn alongside me.
- Especially breakfast.
- But nothing with peas.
- Ever.
- I've had the same best friend since I was 12.
- She's awesome.
- I've torn both my eardrums twice.
- Once while learning to scuba dive.
- The second time I had a horrible cold and managed a world-class evacuation of my sinuses.
- Aren't you glad you kept reading?
- For obvious reasons I can't stand having water in my ears.
- Or my bellybutton.
- But the reasons for that aren't obvious, because I don't know them.
- I like the smell of the ink on magazine pages.
- My favorite quote is: What we desire our children to become, we must first endeavor to be before them.
- It's by Andrew Combe.
- I've had a broken heart.
- It's made me stronger.
- I once repelled 300 feet into a cave.
- It was intense.
- I'd so do it again.
- I have small feet.
- Size 5.
- Finding shoes that fit is a pain in the ass most of the time.
- And, no, kids shoes don't work.
- They are always too wide.
- I don't like conflict.
- But life is full of it and I've learned to face it.
- I don't always handle it well, though.
- Right this second, Alien vs. Predator is on in the background.
- Background noise helps me focus.
- I'm a romantic.
- I'm also a realist.
- Sometimes those two don't go so well together.
- I believe there will never be peace in the Middle East.
- If I could go back to school, I'd study forensics or archaeology.
- Or both.
- The sound of tiny babies crying scares me.
- Which is why I'm "Aunt Shannon" and not "Mom".
- I haven't spent Christmas at home in several years.
- I only voted once. That was the 2009 Presidential Election.
- I have no tolerance for people who think they are better than everyone else.
- To me that is ignorance and it will come around to bite them hard in the ass one day.
- I worry about my family every day. And I know they worry about me.
- I could really go for some Blue Bell Ice Cream right now.
- I love writing this blog and I hope all you crazy readers keep coming back!

Congrats on your 100! Love the new look too. Oh, and even READING the word spider sends chills down my spine. CAN.NOT.STAND.SPIDERS!!!

I have a dream similar to yours, only it's about going back to college to take a final I somehow forgot to take. Spooky.
