Who Says Romance is Dead?

The Kiwi vocabulary never ceases to amaze me. Sometimes that amazement is due to the sheer dumbfoundedness (is that a word?) that I experience upon learning a new word or phrase.

Today was no different.

I never believed in knights on white horses, cuz that's just silly, but I do believe in a little romance now and then.

So, referring to a bed as a FART SACK, does not constitute an attractive, nor remotely romantic notion on my part.

Upon reflection, however, it is an extremely practical reference, is it not? Also, this phrase elicits a fairly high giggle factor from me, and this makes up for its sheer lack of tact in my book.

Sharing this with my wife I got a disgusted look for a second, and then laughter and acknowlegement.
